94 3/4 ton 4×4 rear brake problem

Was having some brake issues over the weekend. Pulled the rear
drums(huge) off and found the wheel cylinder to be leaking. I also
noticed that one of the pins that goes into the end of the cylinder was
missing.  These are the pins that push out of the cylinder.  After
looking at the brake pads, you can tell there wasn’t one of there when
it was replaced.  Dont know when or where.

Does anyone know where i can get one of these?  I have it apart and
would like to get it fixed correctly. The parts store(auto zone) said
that was a dealer item only since it never needs replaced.  Any help
would be great on this.

It is the larger braking system as well. I think its like over 8000
lbs.

thanks!

help rebuilding a 350 motor requesting instructional video or book

If anyone has any instructional books or videos please post them. I’ve had a
’68 Camaro for quite a while and it’s time to get started on it. The brakes
are already upgraded and the suspension is on its way.

Thanks in advance!

Pontiac Bonneville 2000 – Engine died while driving

I have a Pontiac Bonneville 2000 with 94,200 miles (Automatic transmission)
and just a month ago it started to have problems; I was driving and out of
sudden the engine died, so I pulled over and have to wait at least 1 minute
to get the engine start again (with the transmission on "Park"). I have sent
my car to the service dealership and they changed the fuel pump and filter; I
also have the sparks and wire plug  changed, got the engine tuned-up. The
problem only ceased for a week, and started again. I made another complaint,
but they said they cannot find anything wrong when they ran the computer scan
on my car. Does anyone can help me figure out the exact problem?

Help-Gas guage 93 Buick Century 6cyl

My son picked up a 93 Buick Century with 46,000 miles. Clean car, runs
well, well maintained. The only thing wrong with it is that the gas
guage is not registering properly. Is there a way to see if it is the
sender in the tank or the dash guage itself?
Thanks

1998 Blazer LT steering wheel audio controls

I recently got a used 1998 Blazer LT, i’ve seen 1999 Blazers with audio
controls on the steering wheel… and frankly, i’m jealous. I want this
feature, since there’s really no difference between years of this
vehicle, would be it be easy to swap the steering wheel and connect the
controls to the stereo? I’ve searched but not found anything helpful,
if anyone knows how or if it’s feasable to do such a thing please let
me know, even an aftermarket steering wheel, i just want those controls
and it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard, but i don’t want to set
off the air bag trying to find out if it’s even possible. thanks.

Mechanic's Manuals

Hello,

I have a ’96 LeSabre and am a home mechanic.  I was wondering if
there was a cheap place to get my hands on the Manufacturer’s manual
for installation.  As much as it’s nice to have the little book that I
can get at the auto parts store, it’s for a few very different
vehicles, and isn’t very detailed at all.  I need a book that will tell
me the location of EVERY screw, as well as how tight it’s supposed to
be.  Basically, I need to be able to take apart every piece of this car
and put it back together.  Any help in finding a cheap location to buy
these books is much appreciated.

question

i have a 92 olds tornado trofeo and a 89 buick lesabre both with the
3.8. The olds has 151000 miles and the buick has 169000. both cars run
excellent yet the buick has about twice the power as the olds.  Given
that the buick is older and heavier with more miles, one would think
that the olds would have more power, but it doesnt even come close.
Could anyone give me a clue as to why this is? thanks

2001 aztek 3.4 runs hot

Just replaced the engine in daughter in laws 2001 3.4 Aztec.
Radiator fans running when A/C on and gauge reads normal.
Shut the air off and it runs hot, gauge very close to red line before fans run.
Why do the fans come on so late and only run a short time?
What can I do to make the fans run sooner?
