I have a stock 454 with a Turbo 400 tranny. Now for the questions.      

1.  When the car is cold it runs fine.  When engine reaches operatin
temp. it doesn’t run that good.  When you are idleing at a light and
take off it stumbles and acts like it is missing.  Anyone have any
ideas?

2.  Will a standard small block Quadra-Hog be adequate for my big block.
I do not know if they increased the cfm from the small block to big
block.  I would like to replace the one that I have because in the base
where the primary throttle shaft goes through is badly worn.  I can move
it about an 1/8" back and forth.  I do not want to screw with boring the
base out so that I can pay for new bushings.  I would like to just be
able to rebuild one and have it ready to bolt on.

        1986 Olds Ciera Broughm, 100,000 miles, auto everything, power everything,
A/C, 2.8L V-l.  Since about 50,000 miles, this car has cost thousands in
repairs. One thing after another. A few weeks ago, it lost the water pump.
I think that cooked it. The mechanic put a new one on but the car ran rough
at low speeds and had a couple of cylinders with low compression (80,
compared to 110+ for the rest). Yesterday, it overheated again. Today, I’m
told it will need at least a valve job, head gasket, maybe new rings too.
I’ve already spent a couple of thousand dollars the last two years. If they
spend $800-1,600 doing new rings and valves — about ten minutes after
that, the tranny is due to fall apart. The car simply hasn’t got that kind
of value in it.

        I have never had a car fall apart like this. Any ideas for how to handle
it? I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to get much tax deduction for
donating it to a local charity for scrap. I just want the bills to stop. If

Prix and other cars has any known oil consumption history.

I have a 83 GMC Jimmy with a 305 engine.  I have a ticking sound coming
from the right side of the engine.  I have replaced the exhaust gaskets and
readjusted the valves.  Now I think it sounds like it is coming from the
area of the fuel pump.  Has anyone ever experienced this ticking from a
fuel pump.

Any help would be appreciated
